Türkiye’nin Kadın Girişimcisi Yarışması 2018 – Gurur Tablosu

Dün gece ülkem, tüm kadınlar, kurucusu ve geçmiş dönem başkanı olduğum KAGİDER, Garanti Bankası ve Ekonomist dergisi iş birliğinde bir gurur tablosu daha yaşandı ve bir başarıya daha imza atıldı. Türkiye’nin Kadın Girişimcisi Yarışması 2018 başarıyla tamamlandı. Yarışmaya başvuru 37,000 girişimci kadın sayısına ulaşmış durumda. Düşünsenize 37,000 kadın benim başarım takdire layık bir başarıdır. Bu yarışmayı kazanırım diye başarısı sergilemek üzere yarışmaya başvuruyor. Bu sadece o kadınların değil ve tüm organizasyon paydaşları için tüm kadınlar için bir gurur vesilesi. Biliyorsunuz araştırmalar diyor ki kadınlar zam isteyemez, terfi isteyemez, kendini ifade demez, çekingendirler. Gururla not etmemiz lazım ki, artık çekingen değiller! Özgüven gururla işlerini büyütüyorlar. Gecenin 37 finalisti vardı. Ancak, 4 adet kategoride 4 adet kazananı vardı. Ama kazanan Türkiye idi. Kazanan KAGİDER’di. Kazanan Ekonomist dergisi idi. Kazanan Garanti Bankası idi. Ödül töreni his, içtenlik, heyecan ve duygu doluydu. Gözyaşları ve alkışlar hep bir arada idi. Tüm girişimci kadınlar tebrike layık.…

November 20, 2018 was the day of handover of the Presidency of Women 20 – W20 from Argentina to Japan. W20 Argentina hosted the W20 team with great enthusiasm and courtesy in Buenos Aires. The W20 meeting was held in CCK – Kirshner Cultural Center – in Buenos Aires. The text was agreed with comments from the W20 representatives in detail and attention, as well as dedication. The next day several panels were held with the world leaders on gender issues. To cite just a few of the speakers were Phumzile Miambo Ngcuka, the Executive Director of UN Women; Gabriela Ramos, the Chief of Staff and Sherpa of OECD; Irene Natividad, the President of GlobeWomen Research and Education Institute; Lilianne Ploumen, Member of the Parliament of the Netherlands, Svetlana Lukash, the Russian G20 Sherpa from the Presidential Executive Office. Women 20 Recommendations to the Governments

Women 20 (W20) was set up under the 2015 Turkish G20 Presidency as a stand-alone official G20 Engagement Group, which focuses on the promotion of economic growth in a gender responsive and inclusive manner.  This year, the G20 Presidency is with Argentina. The W20 Summit was recently held in Buenos Aires. Four main topics were discussed: Women’s labor inclusion Since the G20 Leaders Declaration at the 2012 Los Cabos Summit in Mexico, economic inclusion is on the agenda of G20 governments. For this purpose, the G20 governments signed a 25 by 25 principle in 2014 in Brisbane, Australia. Until the year 2025, each country will decrease their own gap by 25 percent in the employment of women. This year, labor inclusion was discussed at length in workshops all over the world. The demand was to accelerate the pace of inclusion, invest in care economy, promote shared parental responsibility and eliminate all forms of discrimination…

Kadın 20 -Women 20- W20, G20 de ekonomik büyümenin toplumsal cinsiyete duyarlı ve kapsayıcı bir şekilde teşvik edilmesine odaklanmak üzere resmî ve bağımsız bir açılım grubu olarak 2015 yılında G20 Türkiye Başkanlığı tarafından kuruldu. Bu yıl G20’nin Başkanı olan ülke Arjantin. Bu yılın Kadın 20 – W20 toplantısı Buenos Aires’te gerçekleştirildi. Dört ana konu tartışıldı. We, the representatives of the Women20 (W20) 2018 network, strongly believe that gender equality is a key driver of sustainable and inclusive growth. This view is at the core of the G20 Argentina 2018 agenda and is in line with Sustainable Development Goal 5, which aims to “achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls”. An interview with the Founder and the First President of W20  The Second Eurasian Women’s Forum brought together over 1500 women-leaders from 110 countries in St. Petersburg’s Tauride Palace. Forum Rusya Devleti tarafından Başkan Putin’in himayelerinde düzenlendi. Ödül, kadınların çalışma hayatlarındaki başarı ve etkilerinin toplumun sürdürülebilir kalkınmasına yönelik katkılarının tanınması amacıyla düzenlenmektedir. The Forum has been organized by the courtesy of government of Russia with auspices of President Putin. No Going Back: Making Gender Equality Happen was the title of the policy forum organized by Chatham House and took place on July 9-10 in London. The title is not only eye catching, but also quite controversial. Is there anybody suggesting that we need to go back? Interview with Dr. Gulden Turktan, the first President of the Women 20 group

During the 2015 G20 Presidency of Turkey, in April 2015, the Women 20 (W20) group was created to increase women’s participation in the business world. The W20 will operate similarly to the Business 20 (B20) group and will act as an engagement group with a Secretariat responsible for preparing a final declaration for the G20 Leaders’ summit in November 2015. Empower Women in Istanbul interviewed Dr. Gülden Türktan, the first President of W20. She is one of the founders and President of the Women Entrepreneurs’ Association in Turkey (KAGIDER), and is currently a member of its Executive Board. Women 20 (W20) is one of the most recent G20 outreach formats established in May 2015 under the Turkey presidency.  The W20 focuses on promoting gender inclusiveness and gender equality, essentially making a significant contribution towards a strong, sustainable and balanced growth trend globally. The W20 creation was blessed by the G20 leaders in their Antalya Communiqué which includes leaders` intention to engage with this outreach track.  The W20 believes that increased women economic empowerment will contribute to achieving two key G20 goals – improving performance and governance, in particular private sector transparency.  The W20 calls for inclusion of women priorities in all G20 areas of work (macroeconomics, global economic governance, budgeting etc.) and set itself a task to “remember” the G20 on its commitments and contribute to improving G20 accountability.  Despite other outreach groups, e.g. B20 which recommendations are nonbinding, W20 since a moment of its creation strives to…

Kadının yargıda, tıpta, akademide, sanatta, sporda ve de politikada yer alması kadının ekonomideki varlığına, paydaş olarak yer almasına ve toplumun kadına bakış açısı açısından bir alt yapı veya bir ekosistem oluşturuyor. Parlementoda kadının varlığı hem ekonomiyi hem diğer kadınları olumlu etkiliyor. Bu kadın başarılı bir parlementer veya bir doktor olduysa, ben de başarılı bir girişimci veya sanatçı olabilirim dedirten olumlu düşünceye yol açıyor ve dolaylı bir rol model etkisi oluşturuyor. Başarılı bir politikacı kadın ise bu insan benim derdimi dinler diye bir güven ortamı yaratılıyor. Parlamento’da kadın sadece kadın sorunlarına çözüm de değil. The W20 Brainstorming Session @OECD OECD Forum 2018 at OECD Headquarters started with the W20 Argentina’s Brainstorming session for me. The W20 develops policy recommendations through the input received and the different outlook or views and relevant recent developments gathered. The brainstorming paper included Labor Inclusion, Digital Inclusion, Financial Inclusion and Rural Inclusion. The team from W20 Argentina and Virginia Littlejohn of Quantum Leaps of the USA gave an elaborated and still neat presentation of where the status of the paper is and received input from a well selected and attended of many expert in the audience including Monika Queisser, the Head of Social Policy in OECD. The leaders of G20 countries have the goal reducing the gap between the participation rates of men and women by 25% until the year 2025 in their respective countries. Every year United Nations’ Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) holds a series of meetings about the recent topics, developments and prospects for gender equality in a sustainable world. This year it was the 62nd year of these meetings. And it is recognised as CSW62.   Every year since 2011, which was the first year of my Presidency in KAGIDER, KAGIDER makes a presentation of the best practice project of the year. This year’s project was together with Danone regarding a study initiated by Gamze Çuhadaroglu of Danone. The project is based on the premise that when mothers are working, their kids will be healthier and happier. The children of working mothers will have better chances choices in their lives in terms of their education potential to their career availabilities and selection. Additionally, Danone leads the campaign for businesses to establish a breast-feeding room in their respective work places.…
