Women 20 Recommendations to the Governments

Women 20 (W20) was set up under the 2015 Turkish G20 Presidency as a stand-alone official G20 Engagement Group, which focuses on the promotion of economic growth in a gender responsive and inclusive manner.  This year, the G20 Presidency is with Argentina. The W20 Summit was recently held in Buenos Aires. Four main topics were discussed: Women’s labor inclusion Since the G20 Leaders Declaration at the 2012 Los Cabos Summit in Mexico, economic inclusion is on the agenda of G20 governments. For this purpose, the G20 governments signed a 25 by 25 principle in 2014 in Brisbane, Australia. Until the year 2025, each country will decrease their own gap by 25 percent in the employment of women. This year, labor inclusion was discussed at length in workshops all over the world. Kadın 20 – W20’nin Hükümetlere Tavsiyeleri

Kadın 20 -Women 20- W20, G20 de ekonomik büyümenin toplumsal cinsiyete duyarlı ve kapsayıcı bir şekilde teşvik edilmesine odaklanmak üzere resmî ve bağımsız bir açılım grubu olarak 2015 yılında G20 Türkiye Başkanlığı tarafından kuruldu. Bu yıl G20’nin Başkanı olan ülke Arjantin. Bu yılın Kadın 20 – W20 toplantısı Buenos Aires’te gerçekleştirildi. Dört ana konu tartışıldı. Kadının İşgücüne Dahil Olması  2012 yılında gerçekleşen Los Cabos Meksika G20 Tebliği’nden bu yana kadının ekonomiye katılımı G20 hükümetlerinin gündeminde. Bu amaçla G20 hükümetleri 2014 yılında Avustralya’da 25’e 25 prensibini imzaladılar. Yani, 2025 yılına kadar her ülke, kadın istihdamında kendi ülkesindeki boşluğu ya da farkı % 25 oranında azaltacak. Bu yıl, bu işgücü katılımı, tüm dünyada düzenlenen atölyelerde uzun uzun tartışıldı. W20 Argentina 2018 Communiqué

We, the representatives of the Women20 (W20) 2018 network, strongly believe that gender equality is a key driver of sustainable and inclusive growth. This view is at the core of the G20 Argentina 2018 agenda and is in line with Sustainable Development Goal 5, which aims to “achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls”. Building on the strong foundation established during previous W20 consultations, the W20 identifies the main challenges to be addressed and which are strategic for the G20. Gülden Türktan On The Second Ewf And Gender Quality

An interview with the Founder and the First President of W20  The Second Eurasian Women’s Forum brought together over 1500 women-leaders from 110 countries in St. Petersburg’s Tauride Palace. Gülden Türktan, the Founder and the First President of W20, visited the event as part of Turkish delegation. Ms. Türktan believes that the Forum turned out to be very fruitful to meet a lot of successful women and full of events.  Each person, who had the opportunity to speak to Gülden Türktan during the EWF, was fascinated with her energy, intelligence, and charm.
